What does the future hold for Toyota motor company?

Currently, several popular models have ceased production, and a massive recall started, for sticking accelerators. Some going back as the 2004 model year.

As if that wasn't enough problems, now there are issues with the brakes on the Pirus.
Complaints filed with the NHTSA describe "the car just wouldn't stop".
11 complaints of brake failure have been filed in the US, and 14 complaints have been filed in Japan.

I remember those goofy mid engined minivans they produced years ago, and how those god awful things nearly bankrupted the company.

I think Toyota is looking at some long term damage from this.

I'd have to agree... I'm stayin' with my American cars from now on...

Used to own a 1987 Toyota Pickup, from before they even had a name for their pickup.

I believe I heard toyota was the most American made car.... haha... Doesn't surprise me as soon as theres a mistake, it's the Americans fault. *so they say...*

That may be true, but profits from the sale of that product still go to Toyota City JAPAN!
Our Fault? Not if the product is designed in Japan and produced in The States.

I remember Jeep Cherokees with the 5.2L V8 had a throttle cable issue.
It was only 5.2L versions, and only from A 6 month production span.

Toyota has do deal with YEARS of cars for their throttle issue.
Honestly, I think the brand is scarred forever in this country.
